From the second series of ten fish prints published by Yamasho. The first series was issued privately for the Shingyoku Circle poetry group with judges’ names and extra poems. These prints are of the utmost rarity as the total print run was only enough for the Shingyoku Circle group members. Due to their popularity this first series was published commercially and a second set was commissioned.
The poem written by Makuzu reads:
'With such power the carp
Some day he will turn
into a dragon
and reach the clouds'.
